Question by : Does cat food make dogs hyper?
We just rescued an abandoned geriatric cat from a foreclosed house a month ago. We have him on a “senior diet” and he is happy in our house. Our dog is indifferent to him, but has recently decided he likes his cat food better than his dog food. We can’t put kitty’s food up high (to keep away from dog) because kitty can’t jump well due to his age. Now our geriatric slow sedentary beagle/rotweiler mix is suddenly hyper. Its kind of freaky. Is it the cat food he keeps getting into? I think we need to find a new place to put kitty’s food.

“Dogs love to eat cat food because they love the higher protein, higher calorie content and because they can get away with it if it’s just lying around. Although the occasional theft of some cat food probably won’t seriously harm your dog and usually the main consequence is some diarrhea or loose stools, try not to let these accidents happen. Cat food is formulated for a cat’s metabolism and dog food is made for dogs. A dog that eats a steady diet of cat food will almost certainly gain too much weight and will miss out on nutrients that it needs from its own food. Cats are carnivores and dogs are omnivores (meat and plant eaters) so cat food is missing the ‘plant’ nutrients that are present in dog food.”

Draft like you would any other league. The main difference is that in H2H, there’s more luck involved. Your team can have a great week, but if your opponents’ players are better, you can lose. On the flip side, your team can have a down week, but if the other team is really bad, you can actually win.

European Monetry Union

To form a more perfect economic union and to establish a single market financially, economically and politically, 11 European countries founded a common currency and a European Central Bank, and created a new monetary unit, the euro, on 1st January, 1999. On that date, the old national currencies officially became subunits of the euro, much as the nickel and quarter are subunits of the dollar. Fifteen countries started down the road to monetary union in 1992, when they signed the Treaty on European Union, commonly known as the Maastricht Treaty, which outlined a basic structure for the alliance. However, of those 15 countries, only 11 initially joined the European Monetary Union (EMU): three countries opted out, and another did not meet the economic criteria established for membership in the union. The EMU countries decided that the benefits of having one common currency instead of 11 different ones would outweigh the costs, especially given the amount of travel, trade and financial flow that takes place between these countries. This volume considers effects on capital and goods markets of monetary union in general and European Monetary Union (EMU) in particular. ‘gly’ is a South African teen cabaret – commissioned by the ABSA KKNK – that uses contemporary songs but deals with issues facing the youth in SA. The concept is based on ‘glee’ and so we included this song as a tribute to the TV hit. All royalties have been paid on the live performances, but righs to the video reside with me. Picture quality not too hot, but hope you enjoy it and if so, will load some more songs from the show. This was recorded at the Huguenet Theatre in Bloemfontein as part of the 2011 Vryfees.
