You need at least 3 gallons for drinking 1 gal for cooking 2 gals for washing your body. Total 6 gals per day.

I see coffee creamer in the background. How long does that stuff store? My video on coffee shows that coffee can last a long time but I have no idea about creamers.

Many of us live in an apartment complex, and even though they usually have integrated smoke detectors, one should get battery powered ones as well.

In the middle of winter when the heat is out, other residents will probably set a fire INSIDE their apartments and it will get out of control. Have many fire extinguishers, and don't store all your supplies there. Have backup plans with additional supplies.

Bottle should have a expiration date on them. If not, you can always call the company that makes the water. As far as tap water I have been told by a survival expert, Creek Stewart that it should stay fresh to drink for about 1 year.

Got my Berkey yesterday and I'm glad I did. Like everything the price is going to go up. I'm still going to store as much bottled water as I can in addition to having a water BOB. I feel a little better about my water situation so I can now focus on other things.

I've got two of those. One in the bedroom & one in the kitchen. They can be used to wrap around myself to get the hell out, or to smother a fire. 🙂
