I have been in the business of protecting homes for many years. I started as a technician and now manage techs from coast to coast. I do not door knock but I upsell (increase RMR) in the house. I have personally set records in this area. Here are some tips I think will help door knockers as well as technicians.

    1. be genuine and honest. the customer catches you in one lie…no matter how small, you just lost all credibility.

    2. know your product!

    3. build rapport, this start as you are driving down their street. Look and talk like a professional. (this probably should hav been number 1).

    4. be clean in your appearance and your work place…..always wipe your feet before entering a home (wear booties if a tech) and clean up after yourself when the job is done.

    5. this maybe be the most important.. DO NOT be a pushy salesman. no one likes a salesman, lol. build rapport, engage the customer in conversation, and make them smile. I have never not upgraded a customer I made laugh.

Motions do not shoot beams they detect heat signatures

You new guys aren't asking the prospect enough questions and building rapport.  The guy at 4:30 did a fairly good job, but him explaining the break in scenario was horrible.  He built value in terms of a free system in exchange for advertising the sign, and what comes with a security system?  A month service charge and a sale but of course.

That was an excellent video thank you for showing something useful again but one thing you need to move or relocate the cameras that are facing your neighbours because it’s illegal in uk

We established the Kangaroo security system a year ago after thieves got to us. As a result, it turned out that this is really the only, reliable way to protect against hacking and penetration. I also really liked the wireless installation with the ability to change the location. So even in a rented apartment I can take this security system with me.

I think you should have a better knowledge of Health and Safety, your use of ladders, and working from them is shocking,
Recording of your neighbours gardens/property is illegal, it is not classed as public space, your neighbours have a right to privacy, enable masking on your system, or even better put the cameras in the better location.

    You need a patch panel.

If you ever need an apprentice, give me a bell! I quite like the idea of a pi cam network. I already have a centralized storage server with over 12TB and a vSphere cluster. And if you like PoE switches. I have a gigabit/10gig(SFP) layer 3 fully managed 48 port PoE switch 😉

Lot of more CCTV cameras he good job days interested.

  24. ReasonablleDoubtOctober 5, 2019 at 12:38 pm

Ubiquiti is not even close to “baller” cctv. They’re pretty much at the bottom of the bucket when it comes to pro cctv. You can setup a much higher quality cctv for home much cheaper than Ubiquiti. That NVR and software is junk.

An attic is the worst place for anything other than clothes in bins.

  26. kdf666October 5, 2019 at 2:10 pm

How many times can you say ethernet wrong in one video?

  27. Stephen SalterOctober 5, 2019 at 2:14 pm

You can't record a neighbor's garden 24/7 those CCTV cameras are in the wrong place!

  28. Barry isOctober 5, 2019 at 2:20 pm
