After six months, at the end of February, we moved out of our awesome apartment in Saigon. We enjoyed living there very much, but we felt like we wanted to change things up. Jake and I both work online and are not tied down anywhere with our job. We wanted to take advantage of that opportunity while we could and have a new experience.

These past two weeks, I’ve been traveling the Philippines and that is the reason I haven’t been posting videos lately. Sorry for the slacking, but I couldn’t keep up! I don’t understand how people travel full time, vlog, post videos often, and still manage to look like they’re enjoying their vacation. I have A LOT of editing to catch up on. Expect to see some great Philippines vlogs soon!

For the remainder of the month, we’ll be here in Da Nang so expect to see more Vietnam videos as well! Starting April, we are moving to Bali! And of course I will be making Indonesia travel videos and videos on expat life in Bali.

There’s a lot to look forward to with all the new content. Even when I’m not living in Vietnam anymore, I will still be making videos about expat life here, because I felt I have learned a lot during my time here. I hope you guys will stick around to see what’s next. I appreciate all the love and support I have been receiving from you guys so far and I hope to continue to make videos to inspire and help people!

Vietnam had its own share of wars, American and French conquerors and economic difficulties. So it is no wonder that the country appears only nowadays on the map of international tourism. More and more people are interested in the heritage of the 2700 years old country and its natural beauties. Beside the two large cities, Hanoi and Ho Shi Minh city, one can find the remnants of the imperial times and the beautiful pagodas in Hue. The ruins of My Son are similar to the ruins of the temples of Angkor. Beside the tribes living here, the mountains around Sapa are well known of the Silver Waterfall and the rice fields. The most well known sight of the country is the wild Bay of the Descending Dragon. The exotic Mekong delta is famous of the water city of My Tho, the canals, and the swimming market.

One thing I forgot to add was eating the Vietnamese food here. That coffee shop I went to does an amazing bowl of pho for less than $2. I was too busy trying to film to eat anything that day haha.

White people, listen up. This is your PSA: If you go to viet nam and eat pho. Please do not do that. Save your money and get something better. Banh Mi @ 2:48. you can buy 4 and they give you the 5th one for free. I cost less than bowl of pho.
FYI, you are getting white people price. Not much, but it can add up.

Hi there, can I assume that working 3 hours a day at teaching English online wont' be enough to cover a luxury apt, nails, beaches, ordering smoothies, renting moto bikes, having laundry done, having the time to do videos…etc…Teaching English by phone doesn't pay a huge amount these days…because anyone can do and the market is saturated with teachers ….Vietnam is cheap sure, but everything is relative…In a country where prices are cheap ..prices are cheap for a reason, usually….It's .because the salaries are low there too….so it's normal price for them and anyone who makes money in Vietnam….So for us, cheap only IF you're making a lot of money from the West……But teaching English doesn't pay a ton at all…so i don't understand…..If someone only makes say $15 -20 US an hour teaching..times x3 = That's NOT a lot of money –even in Vietnam right?… There are a LOT of FULL time teachers in Vietnam right now ..instead of 3hrs a day they put in a FULL day…so they should be all millionaires since they work a lot more than you time wise….but i never heard or read that…They just get by….save a little …but they don't live like you…. Unless there's some magical or lucky way to make a small fortune teaching English for a few hours….sure, it sounds good, makes a good video..but…lol. Maybe the boyfriend does programming/consulting or something like that….and brings in a lot more?…I suppose that's it…:) Is this just to sell to an audience videos? Make it look nice?? But no worries…
